WHAT WE BELIEVE

The London Justice House of Prayer is a biblically-based, vibrant expression of the Body of Christ. To learn more about what we believe, please read below.

FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS

God’s Word has been revealed to man through His Prophets and ultimately His Son. His Word is inspired by His Spirit who moved upon the writers and is, therefore, without error. It is the final autority of absolute truth for all who believe and shows us how we are to live. (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 1:3).

God has revealed Himself and His attributes within three distinct yet unified Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:17; John 17:3; 1 Timothy 3:16; Revelation 4,5)

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, who through faith in Him alone can man be saved. He was born of a virgin, lived sinless, was crucified and died, and was resurrected three days later. He ascended to God the Father and will return to rule and regin at the Second Coming.(Matthew 1:18; John 1:1-14; Romans 8:34; Galatians 3:10-14; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Peter 2:21-25; 1 John 2:1-2)

GOD, HIS WORD, AND TRUTH

Forever, O LORD“Your word is settled in heaven…Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. (Psalm 119:89; John 17:17 NASB)

We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. We believe that God only only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus to the glory of His name. (Ps. 104; 139; Mt. 10:29-31; 28:19; Acts 17:24-28; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 1:9-12; 4:4-6; Col. 1:16-17; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 1:4-6)

We believe the heavenly Father is the source of all that exists, whether of matter or spirit. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, He made man, male and female, in His image. By intention He relates to people as Father, thereby forever declaring His goodwill toward them. In love He both seeks and receives penitent sinners. (Ps. 68:5; Isa. 64:8; Mt. 5:45; 7:11; Jn. 3:17; Rom. 8:15; 1 Pet. 1:17)

We believe that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired and, therefore, inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all we believe and for how we are to live. (Mt. 5:18; Jn. 10:35; 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

JESUS CHRIST

…concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord… (Romans 1:3,4 NASB)

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God; that He is God incarnate, fully God and fully man; that He was eternally preexistent with the Father and the Holy Spirit; and that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a penal, substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood shed at the cross, He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints forever. He will return to earth again to reign in righteousness. (Mt. 1:18–25; Jn. 1:1–18; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:1–28; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:10–14; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:6–11; Col. 1:15–23; Heb. 7:25; 9:13–15; 10:19; 1 Pet. 2:21–25; 1 Jn. 2:1–2)

THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. (John 16:13 NASB)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, in whom we are also sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion, the Spirit desires to fill, empower, and anoint believers for ministry and witness. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission. (Mt. 3:11; Jn. 1:12–13; 3:1–15; Acts 4:29–30; Rom. 8:9; 12:3–8; 1 Cor. 12:12–13; 2 Cor. 1:21–22; Gal. 3:1–5; Eph. 1:13–14; 5:18)

GOD’S PLAN FOR MAN

God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over …every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28 NASB)

We believe that humanity, male and female, was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. As a consequence of disobedience, all persons are sinners by both nature and choice, and are, therefore, spiritually dead and justly condemned as children of wrath in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves. (Gen. 1:1–3:22; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:5; Rom. 3:9–18; 5:12–21; Eph. 2:1–3)

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted for his salvation. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight, that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. While we are not saved by works, we are saved unto good works (Jn. 1:12–13; 6:37–44; 10:25–30; Acts 16:30–31; Rom. 3:1–4:23; 8:1–17, 31–39; 10:8–10; Eph. 2:8–10; Phil. 2:12–13; Titus 3:3–7; 1 Jn. 1:7, 9)

We believe it is God’s will for His people to prosper and walk in authority over all of God’s enemies and to be in health as their souls prosper (Josh. 1:8; Ps. 1; 110:1-2; Eph. 1:17-22; 3 Jn 1:2)

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13 NASB)

The Kingdom of God, simply defined, is God’s rule and reign over His realm. It is God’s power and authority in demonstration in both His people and over His enemies. God rules over His domain of heaven and earth through His Son, of which the Church is His body.

The Kingdom of God is both a spiritual reality and one that impacts the world around believers. There is no disconnect from the rule and reign of God, though Christ Jesus, over both the spiritual and natural realms of life. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual, inward experience (Romans 14:17); it is also a demonstration of God’s power over His enemies (Matthew 10:7-8). Jesus will continue to reign over all of His enemies until they have been made to be His footstool (Psalm 110:1-2)

As believers cooperate with God, and live in agreement with Him, His will, and His commandments, His Kingdom will manifest in and through them. This holy partnership begins the breakthrough of God’s Kingdom on the earth that will untimately be revealed at the Second Coming of Christ. It is the reality of Jesus’ prayer, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)” The Kingdom of God then is God’s rule and reign manifesting on the earth through Christ Jesus and the two realms becoming one. (Ephesians 1:9-10)

THE END TIMES

Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the LORD is coming; Surely it is near (Joel 2:1 NASB)

We believe we are living at the end of this present evil age and that Jesus’ return is soon. We believe He gave us signs to look for that would show believers the season in which He would come back. We believe it is critical to know the signs of the times and to be prepared for His appearing. The revelation of the hour of His visitation will create urgency in our hearts to remain faithful and vigilant.

We believe the greatest hour for the Church is at the end of the age. There will be a great end-time harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God. There will be a great revival with power, signs, wonders, and prophecy. All of God’s enemies will be conquered as the Head of the Church, King Jesus returns at the Seventh and Last Trumpet Judgment to Raise the Dead in Christ and Rapture His Church to rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years.

At the end of the Millennial Reign, Satan will be consumed by God and cast into the Lake of Fire. We believe after this God will judge the dead, small and great, and all unbelievers will be cast into the Lake of Fire. We believe afterward God will renew the earth and create a new heavens and new earth and the New Jerusalem will be on the earth and God will dwell forever with man. (Mat. 24; Joel 2:28-32; Mat. 13:37-43; Eph. 5:25-27; 1 Cor.15:23-28; 1 Thess.4:13-18; 2 Thess. 1:5-10; Jude 1:14-15; Rev. 11:15-18; 19:11-21; 20-21)

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT PRAYER

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people…I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands… (1 Timothy 2:1-8 ESV)

We believe Jesus commanded believers to pray. We believe prayer is the method of communication God has chosen for believers to partner and commune with Him. It is through prayer power is manifested into the natural realm to affect change for the Kingdom of God.

We believe Jesus taught His disciples to pray and in that to worship God, give thanks to Him, repent for sin, intercede for others and revival, ask for provision, health, direction, strength, power and sanctification. We believe the Letters to the Churches show us how to pray for God’s will to be accomplished in our personal lives, our community of believers, and our nation. We believe pray can affect the outcome of God’s actions in the lives of people and nations. Prayer can heal the sick and bring salvation. It is one means of strengthening the inner man. (Mat. 6:9-13; Mark 11:24; Lk. 11:1-4; 18:1-8; 22:46; Jn. 4:23-24; Rom. 8:26; 1 Cor. 14:14-15; Eph. 1:17-22; 3:16; 6:18; 1 Thess. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:8; James 5:13-16; Jude 1:20)

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT ISRAEL

I ask, then, has God rejected his people [Israel]? By no means!…I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved… (Romans 11:1,25-26 ESV)

We believe God has kept for Himself a remnant of Jewish believers that constitute the Commonwealth of Israel, the Israel of God. We believe the promises made to Abraham and his offspring will ultimately be fulfilled in the believing Jewish remnant. These promises are made new through the New Covenant by the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ. We do not believe God has rejected Israel or forsaken her or His promises to her. Rather, He will bring them all to pass through the renmant Jewish believers.

We reject Replacement Theology that says the Church has replaced Israel. The meaning of this is that Gentile believers have now become the reciepents of God’s promises because He rejected Israel. We believe that through the Early Church from the Day of Pentecost to the conversion of Cornelius, all believers were Jewish. It was into that believing root Gentiles were grafted. Gentiles become co-inheritors of the promises through faith along-side Jewish believers.

We believe Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and the natural seed of David. He is the heir to David’s throne in Jerusalem. When He returns He will rule over the earth from Mount Zion as the Jewish King. (Ps. 2; 110:1-2; Zech. 14:16-18; Rom. 4:16; 11; Eph. 2:12-15; Gal. 6:16)
